    CONSTITUTION GUIDING JOURNALISTS PRACTICE IN NIGERIA

    The Union operates a constitution which came into effect on June 25, 2000 and under the law are the:-

    Preamble or introduction which affirms the pledge of every journalist to practice, in accordance with the higher professional standards. To provide for members a constitution of the purpose of promoting good leadership and welfare of members on the principles of freedom of expression, rule of law and social justice.

    Persons with qualifications in other disciplines from recognized institutions and who have obtained Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) or Masters Degree in Journalism or Mass Communication or any relevant Certificate in the profession or have passed.
